Tilaweed.forCat.Szekeres

This illustration of Tilaweed was created as a personal thank you to Cat Kouns Born: A significant staff member (and constant friend) at Warp Graphics while WaveDancers was in production. (Thank you Cat, for the high rez digital files of this artwork for my archive gallery). It's rare that I do artwork specifically as gifts.

WaveDancers was published during 1993 - 1994, so this is from that same time, but has never seen print publication. It's interesting to me how elongated the design of Tilaweed became. She was the poster girl of the series.

I've updated the look of Tilaweed for the new Elf-fin series Julie Ditrich and I are currently working on. Still long and lithe, but a touch more toned.

I remember picking up issue one of Wavedancers back in the day... I thought your art work was just so beautiful i wanted to frame it... lol... Thanks for the memories... keep up the great stuff...

Oh just lovely! the colors are excellently balanced and so fresh and bright! its a wonderful contrast to her melancholy expression.
My only complaint is that maybe she's so sad because she's so thin...but you've fixed that :)

This is THE image that attracted me to BlackMermaidDotCom :) She did her job well, as poster girl =D I do like the 'new' version better; she's so skinny here XD
