The Queen of Sheba lounges with her family of large cats. She is Queen over the King of the beasts, and protected by his female. The cub is given the wide leash to be irreverent and childish as he chews on one of the Queens golden bangles. Her wealth is such that she can loose such a treasure without a second thought if it makes her cub happy. She lounges on a red weaved heavy material with patterns of camels on it that represent her power in her trade and travels. She has large lotus blossoms nearby, one of which she took to King Solomon to test his famed wisdom.

Daily DeviationGiven 2006-07-11The Queen of Sheba definately seems to live up to her title by radiating power and sexuality in ~Elf-Fin's well rendered and very detailed piece... and who couldn't fall in love with that hungry little cub? -- Lose your dreams And you will lose your mind. [link] Thank you twosilverstars. One of my aims when doing my art is having some sort of story in the art, something that is going on with or between the characters in the piece. I also like to try to have the artwork so it can weather repeated viewings and have new discoveries in it. Your comment was wonderful to receive, for it means that in this work at least, I have been successful in achieving my goal, and furthermore coming from such an accomplished artist as yourself, it is even more of a compliment then you might know.
