Jasmine
King Of Thieves
Animation By Jozef Szekeres

Here we have Jasmine from the 3rd Aladdin film (2nd straight to video/DVD), wherein I did animation mostly on Jasmine and sometimes on Aladdin, as often they were together in this film (in that lovey-dovey sort of way). As a big romantic, I was often cast to animate those special moments between the leading characters, and when Jasmine was to be especially pretty, or to show emotion. Apparently I was known for animating the leading ladies "Disney pretty" and with emotions behind their eyes. I of course enjoyed that connection, because it allowed me to do more and more of that sort of character and animation.... which I enjoyed.

Jasmine (with the 3 larger heads, in this clipping) sings to Aladdin: "Your father is really there.." beautifully in the soundtrack (amazingly voiced by Liz Callaway), I was thrilled to animate this line for her, and I'm very happy with the animated emotion.

Here is also the incidental character of the Sorceress, who only had a few.. but important scenes in the film. I had a few scenes with her as well.

This is interesting, finding out who really animated some of this stuff. The two Jasmines by the Oracle are from Return of Jafar.

I worked on that too...

The Jasmine drawings I have are all filed together, rather than via film.

This movie is so underrated. It was one of my favorites growing up and it's still one of my favorites as an adult. I was particularly attracted to the Oracle. She was was really mystifying.

The Oracle character was special, I was glad to have animated some scenes with her.
