This is a genuine 1989 acrylic painting of mine. It's now 20 years old, and has my old insignia on it. It was framed (within the same frame with two other similar images, as it was part of a series) for all this time from the year it was created. As it can happen, the frame fell and the glass broke. There was some mold damage to the artwork, so I'm restoring it to reframe. So I thought I'd better scan it before it gets locked away again. I was 18-19 when I painted this, and obviously in my Nagel inspired phase.  -- "Ride hard... Live free!" The 80s were a fantasy time for fashion and big hair, I look at it now, and love and cringe at it simultaneously.
So this was THE happening look at the time. It's great to share it here on it's 20 anniversary. lol!! so true! don't be surprised to see the "big hair" look come back after 2 or 3 more fashion cycles... seems like these trends all return with some revisions at some point.
 -- "Ride hard... Live free!"  This is amazing, I love the 80's .... I can see that painting on t-shirts... so, don't be surprised if someone from the fashion industry contacts you to use it!
